Butrint Training School

The archaeological work began in 1994 as a collaborative project between the Albanian Institute of Archaeology and the Butrint Foundation. The project has been under the joint scientific directorship of Professor Richard Hodges of the Institute of World Archaeology (University of East Anglia) and Dr. Ilir Gjipali of the Albanian Institute of Archaeology. Its purpose has been the investigation of the Roman, late-antique and medieval phases of the town’s history, through a combination of excavation, field survey, geophysical survey and recording of standing remains.
Industrial Heritage

Archaeological survey in Vjosa
During September October 2011, FoAP project undertook an archaeological landscape survey of the upper part of the Vjosa river valley. It was a collaborative project between Albanian Heritage Foundation (AHF) and Albanian Agency of the Archaeological Service (ASA) – Ministry of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports. Berat Guide Book
Albanian Heritage Foundation in collaboration with the Municipality of Berat and Toena Publishing House, have published, in both albanian and english language, a Tourist Guidebook named “Berat, two and a half millennia of history, art and culture”. The Guidebook launch ceremony was organized during the opening of new tourist season in Berat. This new tourist guide to the city of Berat is a high-quality publication with abundant and interesting information for all the local and foreign visitors who come to explore
Book Launch Ceremony Eternal Butrint
On the 13th of June the Albanian Heritage Foundation and Toena Publishing House, organized a book launch ceremony at the Rogner Hotel on the occasion of the publication in Albanian of Eternal Butrint, a book by Richard Hodges and translated into Albanian by Diana Ndrenika.
The book launch where the author was present, was very well received and there was a lot of media attention too. A second book launch was organized in Saranda on the 15th of June
